About Christopher Maya

Christopher Maya has long been respected for his ability to create an integrated, polished look while maintaining a comfortable, warm, and livable environment. His design philosophy aims for timeless appeal through tailored and historically referenced designs with understated elegance. Since founding his firm in 1999, Christopher has designed a diverse range of projects, from Manhattan apartments and townhouses to rambling homes and weekend retreats. 

 

Christopher creates environments that are relevant to modern living. He enjoys articulating his passion for seamlessly integrating both modern and antique details to create style and depth on any given project. 

 

His work has been featured in several publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, the New York Times, Connecticut Cottages and Gardens and Hamptons Cottages and Gardens. NY Spaces has rated Christopher as one of the top 50 designers since 2010. 

In 2013, Christopher launched an eponymous fabric line sold through Holland & Sherry showrooms around the world. He has also designed a furniture line produced by EJ Victor. Christopher has participated in numerous show houses for charity including the Kips Bay Show House of 2006, 2009, and 2017.
